Best in Show Pet Resort does not accept online reservations. We feel that each pet is unique and so are their needs. Booking directly with our Reservation Specialist will ensure that they are met. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am - 7pm to assist you.

REQUIREMENTS

DOGS

DHLPP, Leptosporosis, Rabies vaccinations -required annually, and Bordatella (Kennel Cough) - required every six months*

*Kennel cough is a highly contagious airborne infection similar to the common colds. No vaccine is 100% effective as new strains of Kennel Cough continually develop and some dogs are more susceptible to the infection than others. Best In Show takes all possible precautions to eliminate the spread of this infection at our facilites. We closely monitor and maintain proper ventilation with our state-of-the-art Aqua Air Filtration System and follow a strict cleaning regimen to ensure the cleanest facility possible. There is debate among veterinarians as to how long the Bordatella vaccine remains effective. Therefore, in order to provide the highest level of safety to all our guests, we require a more vigorous vaccination schedule for Bordatella.

CATS

FVR-CP, Feline Leukemia, Rabies - required annually

All vaccinations must be completed at least seven (7) days prior to check-in. For the safety of all our guests, no exceptions will be made to this policy.

Prior to your pet's check-in for boarding or daycare, you must complete the Registration, House Policies and Boarding Contract. These contracts can be faxed prior to your coming to the facility to ensure a quick check-in. For dogs, a temperament test must also be scheduled. This time allows our staff to observe your dog in a controlled, small group environment to see how well they react to other dogs. This can be a slow process and could take several hours to complete but is necessary to ensure a positive experience for all guests. Dogs that show signs of aggressive behavior or other traits that could put other guests or our staff at risk will not be admitted. Further, the following breeds will not be admitted under any circumstances - Akita, Rotweiller and all Bull Terrier breeds. We love these dogs and understand that in most cases they are lovely pets; however, these breeds tend to have unpredictable aggressiveness among other animals that could endanger our other guests or staff. Ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests and staff will always be our guiding principal.
